Day 88: Chris

We will be doing our next weigh in on the first Monday of February. We haven't forgotten about you guys, it just been a really hectic last couple of months between holidays and travel. I can't speak for Mark, but I can tell you that I am still kicking and working hard.

On another note, check this article out.

Essentially, a 5 foot tall, 275 pound woman is unable to get an MRI from the hospital because of her size. She won't fit in the machine. Apparently the doctors recommend to her that she visit the local zoo and try to use on of their MRI machines. She is embarrassed and her husband is outraged and it paints the doctors to look like just terrible people.

I understand that overweight people are sensitive about their weight and size (believe me, ha) but is this really something to get mad about? Unless that doctors communicated this idea to her in a really insensitive and brash way, she should be thankful that they were at least trying to find a solution since they were unable to treat her with their equipment.

People are so easily offended! What do you think about this?

I have seen this on House but didn't know that it happened in the real world.

I agree that the lady should not be upset with the doctors... they didn't make her obese, and were trying to find a solution (I wonder if they saw that episode of House... hmm)

But anyway I wanted to let you know that you have by support... You go guys...

I don't think she should have gotten upset at the doctors unless they conveyed it in a rude or inappropriate way. It isn't her fault there isn't a machine large enough to accomadate her, right?
